Pray for Little Chloe and her dad. One of the blog readers - and St. Mipps' sister - worked with Chloe's mom.

Trisomy 18 on CNN

A mom who gave birth to a baby with Trisomy 18 was interviewed by Anderson Cooper on CNN.
It's nice to hear a woman speaking about the truth of valuing life. It's also creepy to read Anderson Cooper being a toad. "...even though she had every right to." and, my favorite: "You named her?"
Yes, Anderson, we named the baby.

Science Vs.Science

In this article, a self-described "atheist and secularist" ponders how advocates of science can draw an arbitrary line on when life begins. Maybe the Kingdom IS near.
"Newsweek, for instance, recently reported that 90 percent of women whose fetuses test positive for Down syndrome choose an abortion. Another survey showed only a small percentage of mothers even used the test. So what happens when 90 percent of parents test their fetuses? Does it mean the end of the disease or are we stepping perilously close to eugenics?"

Politics and Life
1) abortion is not the government's choice. "My body, My choice". Let's take care of the millions of starving BORN children in the world first. Obama '08
2) http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/
I guess we've hit the big time.
I'm getting comments from people talking politics. The first comment quotes...something and I think the writer thought by quoting that something they had authority.
I have no idea what the quote has to do with Zoe. Zoe's body? Zoe's choice? Her choice is to live. Her mom also chose to let her live because God has seen it fit to let her live. I think all three of them have made that choice.
You can throw me and my body in, too. Both of us choose to let Zoe live.
If anyone and their body would like to weigh in on their choice, let me know. I'm open to hearing from all of you.
The second comment I didn't reprint fully because it's just sinister. The fact that it is up on this blog is part sad/sick and part...awesome. The fact someone thought a good idea would be a post a link to an article insinuating that Sarah Palin faked her pregnancy because her daughter was truly pregnant...wow. Way to go. The article included statistics about what demographics deliver children with Down's Syndrome as PROOF.
Thanks to all you kooks. And your bodies. And your quotes. Keep them coming.

More And More Burdens
What will selfish people do with all their burdens? Where can they go? Thank God my parents didn't do this. Pray for everyone involved. All of them.

Why Carry More Burdens?
BNS reports that as Jen lay getting her ultrasound, Zoe swatted repeatedly at the stupid whateveritwas squishing her. The ultrasound showed her tibia and fibula, her kidneys, her brain. Her spine. Her right hand which is always close to her mouth (sucking her thumb like her daddy?)
So, it was disconcerting to hear the doctor, when talking about potential chromosomal damage, talking about "managing the pregnancy." He wasn't advising, mind you. Good guy, great doc. Just...you know. Making sure Jen and Greg were going to manage the pregnancy.
The above is a sign that our buddies at Planned Parenthood are distributing in Nigeria. I knew you wouldn't believe me, so here's the link. You see, you don't want all those burdens. Maybe you want to manage the pregnancy.
