The Zoe Effect

From Iceland to Saudi Arabia to Chile and 37 other countries, people are visiting this blog. I'm honored.

Lift up your head. That's what your prayers, properly funneled through the Maker of the Universe and into my often-dull head, have said. So, I'm stumbling along and trying.

Do not be fooled - your prayers do more than bless me. They bless you, too, as you become part of this story. They lift our heads. They give US strength.

Tomorrow I hope to see as many of you as I can, and to feel the light and heat and warmth of your presence as we honor my beautiful Zoe.

Thank you everyone. See you tomorrow.

1000

I've been waiting for something profound to say at post 1000. Something that would stop and make you think. All of my muses are silent.

So I'll leave it to the truly profound.

"A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell." -C.S. Lewis.

New Comments/Design

As you guys know, I've been tweaking design and adding some stuff for you and me. One reason is we've just plain got so much going on..and I needed more room for more info. Another reason is the last template I chose didn't work with some browsers.

I've also added a new comment software that I think you'll like. Tell me if it works and what you think. I'm very excited about the potential there.

The coolest part is if you have a Facebook account, you can log in by clicking that "Facebook Connect" button...and then we see your profile pic, and you can do linking between this and Facebook.

It's all part of, as Batblog friend Dan says, the "doubleyahdoubleyahdoubleyah."

49 States

Almost 15 percent of the Batblog's new visitors are from ...California. And no one from Vermont has visited the blog at all in the last month. But Hawaii, yep. what a ride. If anyone would like to try to make any sense of the blog's statistics, have at it.

Batblog Feeling All Kinds Of Official-Like

I think we've crossed some kind of threshhold: Batblog being quoted by a website.

Michael Hennessey, our Favorite Ironman competitior Ever, did an interview with www.lifesitenews.com , which liberally quotes Michael's interview with us on the Batblog!

Now, if only lifesitenews.com would have contacted me, we could have traded links and become powerful internet friends. (hint, hint, lifesitenews.com).

Chug Chug Chug The Batblog Keeps Going On

My completely random study of Batblog visitor stats shows that we're down from our peak of 33 countries to 23 countries around the world. But we can welcome both Honduras and Guatemala. That we have some very regular visitors from the Netherlands Antilles. That of the over 12,000 page views the blog has had in the last month, almost 12 % of the visitors were unique new visitors.

Father, glorify your name!" Then a voice came from heaven, "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again."

Batblog has been visited by people from Uganda, Costa Rica, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia, China, UK, US, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, Philippines, South Korea, Canada, Switzerland, Bahamas, Slovenia, Singapore, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Bahrain and the Netherlands Antilles.

There's nothing more internationally appealing than to report that Zoe Elizabeth Batiansila is sleeping in my arms today, on her 9 week birthday.

30 Countries, 50 States

Welcome Argentina, Brazil, Spain, New Zealand, The Philippines, Japan, Turkey, Norway, Finland. I honestly haven't checked in a bunch of days, so I was surprised to see us leap from 16 countries to 30. Honored, humbled. Wow.

A long-time friend asked me what states have visited. Within one week, 48 states had visited. Oddly, the two states that hadn't were New Mexico and Oklahoma. We have succesfully been visited by people in all 50 states now, with the largest number of hits coming from Wisconsin, New York, California, Tennessee and Illinois. Does Batblog get any kind of electoral votes?
