"This is the triumph of American policy really," he said. "It was probably unexpected of the man. It was expected of the nation, but not of the man, but both rose to the occasion."
I'm sure if you let them think long enough, people with Bush Derangement Syndrome will come up with a reason why Bob Geldof said the above about W. Bush.

i totally agree. i hope that someday the policy decisions regarding Africa will be Bush 2's lasting legacy and contribution to humanity.
ReplyDeleteif you thought i outright hated Bush, you'd be wrong. i think he has done some good -- it's just that it's hard to see among all the bad he's done. how will it be "weighed" historically? it's too hard to say right now. like i said above though - i'm hoping for the best re: africa.
I doubt you, Dan have a lot of hate for anyone or anything. I don't consider you to have Bush Derangement Syndrome. But you show signs of American Derangement Syndrome, where you see us as the great evil on the planet.
ReplyDeleteIn the case of this post, I believe that within 24 hours people will come forth and explain that while this is a good thing, it wasn't the best. That someone could have done better. That it was motivated by oil. Or Cheney. Or Halliburton, oil and Cheney.
