Throw It Away.

If it's broken, or old, or not what you wanted, just throw it away. Right? Isn't that what I hear from Luxemburg, WI? And Spain? The combination of prenatal testing and abortion has shown that 95% of children diagnosed prenatally with Down's Syndrome are aborted.

You ok with that? What if you knew that the diagnoses were not accurate as previously thought?

If you're still trying to figure out your answer to the above, take a look at the video below. Throw her away?

No, we're not okay with that---thanks for this brave post. The truth needs to penetrate peoples hearts one by one---it's the whole stone in a pond analogy--open just one heart to change it's view and the ripple effect will do amazing things. God bless Zoe for speaking the truth in simply living her precious life!!

  2. Thank you for the post! No way is this ok. Our society has become so sick. These babies are so precious. You are so right about which one of these are misdiagnosed. As a mom of 6 adopted children and one with Trisomy 18 who is so perfect I cannot imagine any of my children not being on this precious Earth. Thank you so much for the courage to make your post. 4. Throwing away is never okay with me. God does not make mistakes, ever. I can't imagine looking Him in the face and telling Him that His creation is not good enough to keep and nurture and love. The video of Zoe is just precious and she has so much to say. You can see it in her expressions. It is up to us to nurture and give her a voice until she can speak for herself. You are doing an amazing job of loving her through each day, moment by moment. Keep speaking out, someone needs to hear.

    Love, Laurie in Ca.

  5. I stumbled across your blog after someone had searched for Trisomy 18 and found my site. I am a worship leader in Vancouver, Canada and found out at 21 weeks that my daughter, Shalom, had anencephaly (absence of the brain). We went through an extremely difficult time - you can read our story at www.homemakingirl.blogspot.com if you're interested - Shalom's story is archived on the right. Anyway - I will be thinking of you - and your wee one ... May you and your family be blessed today.
